Angel Heart Enterprises Announces Retail Web Site Launch

Gretna, LA December 13, 2003 –- After more than 30 years of dedicated service to our country in the Air Force, John and Holly DiDomenico were asking themselves, “Where do we go from here”? After brainstorming for several months, they came to the conclusion that neither wanted to just sit back after retirement and watch the grass grow. They had too many skills between them learned from each of their military careers not to put them to some good use after retirement from the Armed Forces.

“This is a new chapter in our lives”, stated John, “One that will create a void from the military family we have known most of our lives. Where the success of our unit was based on “We”, as a group, now our business success would be based on “Us””. Their goal was to build an e-commerce Web Site, promoting and selling products that they felt comfortable with and had some knowledge of. After considering many options, they decided to target Angel and Home Décor themed gifts and products. Holly said “It really became a no brainer; I’ve been collecting Angel stuff all my life so we decided to follow that niche in our business venture”.

Thus, “Angels and Accents” was born. “We knew nothing about building an Internet Site or how to handle orders or even how to find the products we wanted to sell”, John states, “And we needed to start slow since we both still have full time jobs for the short term as retirement nears”. They decided on Angels and Accents as their Internet Site name and were amazed that angelsandaccents.com was not registered as a domain name yet. They have also learned that Marketing is everything in any business. “The Military advertises itself to get new recruits and the same philosophy applies to the Internet as well. You have to get yourself exposed to online purchasers so they know what you have to offer them”, says Holly, “We are getting better at it as our knowledge of business grows with our Web Site”.

Holly handles the bookkeeping and John is the Webmaster. Angels and Accents have only been online for a few weeks but according to John the Site is starting to build some momentum. Products are added daily and they continue to search for additional Merchandise lines that will blend in with the Site Theme. The DiDomenico’s believe that personal attention to customer inquiries is paramount if you want to build a strong relationship with your clients. “We want everybody to think of us as their neighborhood gift store and be confident that any problems will be handled quickly and personally”, says John.
